Meet Anushka

Hello! I'm Anushka Ranasinghe, an enthusiastic and dedicated professional with a passion for adventure tourism and education. With a diverse background spanning over a decade, I've honed my skills in various roles, from educational facilitator to administrative manager, always striving to create enriching and memorable experiences for others.

Currently, I'm working as an Educational Facilitator and Monitor at Aventura Parks in Dubai, UAE. In this role, I manage safety and participant supervision for ropes courses and lead educational programs focused on orienteering, sustainability, and team-building activities. My expertise in group management and health and safety protocols ensures that every program I lead is both safe and engaging.

Previously, I served as an Administrative Assistant at Kreative Restaurants, where I managed duty schedules and attendance for over 300 employees across eight branches. My efforts in data accuracy and process optimization contributed to efficient payroll processing and improved sales reporting.

My journey in adventure tourism began in Sri Lanka, where I worked as a Manager for Nature Camp Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. I crafted personalized adventure tour packages and ensured seamless operations by managing duty rosters and payroll for the adventure crew. As a Freelance Tourist Guide Lecturer, I led European and American tourists on multi-day adventure tours, enhancing their experiences with my knowledge of nature and cultural aspects.

My academic background includes a Master of Sustainable Tourism from the University of Peradeniya and a Higher National Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management from SLIATE. I am committed to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices, having completed several specialized training programs, including ecotourism and adventure tourism courses.

Beyond my professional life, I am an avid scoutmaster, volunteering at Sussex College since 2013, where I train scouts in various outdoor skills. I was honored to be awarded as a President's Scout in 2011, reflecting my dedication to scouting and outdoor leadership.

With a strong foundation in cultural awareness, team collaboration, and outdoor leadership, I bring a unique perspective to the fields of tourism and education. I am always eager to take on new challenges and contribute to the betterment of any organization I am part of.
